News 2011-2012
- Yifei Wang will start a PhD in Biostatistics at UC Davis
in the Fall 2012.
- Nathan Saritzky has been awarded the Raymond L. Wilder
Award which is given annually to graduating seniors and
first-year graduate students in mathematics for outstanding
academic achievement.
- Nathan Guillery got a SURF grant from CCS to work on a
research project over the summer with Prof. Thomas Sideris.
- Michio Poppleton will be working over the summer at Toyon
Research Corporation on their ISR Algorithms team.
- Berkeley Churchill has received the CCS Faculty Executive
Commendation for Excelence Award.
- Berkeley Churchill will start a PhD program in Computer
Science at Stanford next year.
- Nathan Saritzky is one of the three speakers in the CCS
commencement this year.
- Kevin Gibbons will participate in the Budapest Semester in
Mathematics program in the Fall.
- Derek Hollowood will work as a counselor in the PROMY's
program in Boston during the summer.
- Megan Maguire is graduating from the Master's program in
Mathematics at UCSB this year and will start a PhD program
in mathematics at University of Wisconsin-Madison next year.
- Kristofer Hatch will start a master's program in Geography
at the University Simon Fraser in the Fall.
- Kevin Lui, Kevin Malta, Nathan Schley, and Adam Varney
will participate in the UCSB Summer Research program for
undergraduates during the summer.
- Nathan Saritzky has been admitted into the Master's
program in Mathematics at UCSB.
- Michael Wood is spending this academic year in New
Zealand.
