The best way to find out if CCS is the
right program for you is to come and visit us. You can sit in on any of our lectures, visit Pendola House (the CCS residence hall), talk to students and faculty, visit the Library, and visit the Math Department. In addition, you will have a chance to see the UCSB campus, student life in Isla Vista and surrounding areas, and the beautiful town of Santa Barbara.
This year we have an open house on the following dates: Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 5, March 12, April 9, April 16 and April 23, 2020.
Here is the plan of activities for the day:
10:00-10:50 am: Meeting with Prof. Casteels at South Hall 6635 (see below for instructions on how to find this building).
11:00 am - 12:30 pm: Classroom visit.
12:30pm- 1:30 pm: Lunch with students (bring $12 cash).
2:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Campus tour (need to register, see below)
3:30 pm: Final meeting with Prof. Casteels to close the day.
Here is a map of the UCSB campus and here are instructions on where to park.
Our CCS tour does not include a campus tour. If you would like to participate in one, please, register before coming to ensure a spot. Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 10:00-12:30 pm and 2-2:30 pm.
If you would like to visit the dining commons and have lunch with our students, please, bring $12 cash.
